I'm a sucker for puzzle games, so it was not hard to fall immediately in love with this game when I saw the trailer which reminded of The Witness, another game that I really liked.
The latest Final Fantasy is coming to PC, and Squaresoft decided to release a demo for. I have played many Final Fantasy games before, and I have super fond memories of the old ones.
The best description of this game would be a 2.5d resident evil. It mostly plays from an "overheadish" view, with some first person segments sewn in here and there, some light combat, and a lot of puzzles.
I don't like walking simulator games. I always felt like they are more like an interactive book, which is fine, but I play games because I want to play games, not read a book. Well that changed today. This game is absolutely gorgeous. It is so gorgeous that it made me write to this blog after 2 years.
Finally the latest installment of the Souls franchise came out, reviewers everywhere are calling it 10/10 with some of them going as far as calling it best game of all time. This article is spoiler free, but the screenshots do show some late game areas (no bosses). At the moment of writing, I have 92 hours in the game, and I play on PC. I started on launch day with the day1 patch, and finished on 1.03.2.
I played the classic version on the Xbox360, many many years ago, and then completely forgot about this game. It was a very nice surprise that Atlus decided to remake it.
Nintendo's newest release in the Paper Mario line. Like all other Nintendo titles, this one is also exclusive to their own platforms, namely the Switch. I'm currently after the second boss in the game, which is about 5-6 hours of gametime.
