This game came out at the very end of 2020, and I have never seen any mention of it anywhere. It was a friend that recommended it to me, and after watching the trailer it seemed interesting, and looked nice.
Cliché story, wife has a unique illness, husband decides to embark on a journey to a middle of nowhere island because apparently that's where he's going to find a cure. They keep in touch by writing, but eventually the letters stop, wife decides to go to the island by herself. It's full of puzzles, mystery, crumbled up notes, and occult hints.
When I started the game, it immediately became apparent that this game borrows very heavily from that certain kind of horror. The trailer very subtly hints at this, but I didn't catch it, so you can now rewatch the trailer again, and you'll know.
I'll say it again, this game is absolutely gorgeous, and I don't mean that in the "duh it's Unreal Engine" way, but also in the expositions, and the art style. It has super colorful vistas, beautiful underwater fauna, and very mysterious places to explore. If I could get the physical edition of the artbook today, I would. The story is much better than the cliché you get exposed to in the trailer makes you believe, and it manages to keep being captivating all through the game, until the credits roll.
The puzzles are on the easy/medium side, with 1 exception that I couldn't figure out, even after looking at it for 40 minutes. I thought there is some mechanic, or hint that I missed, but no, I just didn't get it. In hindsight, I think even that puzzle was fair.
I got the game on 60% off, which was about 7 EUR, but it would have easily been worth more. It's somewhat short, I managed to finish it in 5.6 hours in two sittings, and it's one of those games that you will never replay, but will stay with you forever. It was an absolutely amazing experience, highly recommended.
